The changing world is being defined to an important extent by ongoing advances in digital transformation. We want to help shape this change with interdisciplinary solutions, professional expertise and a dynamic agility that enables us to respond quickly to trends and developments. In line with the BNP Paribas Group employer promise, at Consorsbank, DAB BNP Paribas and BNP Paribas Wealth Management – Private Banking, we promote the personal involvement of our employees and create a diverse working environment for you, in which each individual is seen and respected.
In our fast-moving times, the feeling of security you gain by having control over your own finances is a valuable asset. As a digital direct bank, we want to empower our customers to keep better track of their day-to-day finances. Our comprehensive portfolio of financial services and products caters for people who are interested in managing their own financial investments and in building wealth with financial securities, and for high-net-worth private clients and independent asset managers, fund brokers, investment advisers and institutional customers. To achieve this aim, Consorsbank alone has around 1,200 employees working for over 1.5 million customers across Germany.
What we stand for as an employer
Besides the employer promise and the many benefits of the BNP Paribas Group, Consorsbank, DAB BNP Paribas and BNP Paribas Wealth Management – Private Banking are characterised by the following additional special features and employee benefits:
Learning from one another
Learning from each other in order to keep developing – personally as well as professionally – is one of our specialities. We support our employees with individual learning programmes, steadily adapt our offerings, continue to learn ourselves and enjoy trying out new things. Because only through proactive, lifelong learning can we keep up with our rapidly changing world. To this end, all colleagues can create a personal development plan in the framework of their annual appraisal with their respective personnel manager.
Our continuing training measures include, among other things, Leadership Nuggets, case-specific peer advising and a broad range of virtual learning offerings.
- Leadership Nuggets
- Case-specific peer advising
- Virtual learning programme
- Diverse new learning formats in the pipeline
Our employees can do volunteer work during their fully paid working hours. Our Corporate Volunteering Policy offers various opportunities:
The BNP Paribas Stiftung has supported the non-profit initiative JOBLINGE since 2016. The organisation assists young people who don’t find apprenticeships or jobs through their own efforts. Our colleagues can volunteer either as mentors or as learning coaches.
Mentors accompany young people, usually for a half-year, as sparring or dialogue partners in weekly meetings and also serve as role models for the youths’ professional life.
Learning coaches support programme participants in digital learning for four weeks. This takes place exclusively via telephone, video chat and the corresponding learning platforms.
National Read Aloud Day
For over 15 years, this day of action has set an annual example of the importance of reading aloud, generating excitement about stories and literature among children and adults alike. The initiative gives our employees the opportunity to transport children in participating primary schools, nurseries and preschools to fascinating new worlds and let them discover their joy in reading.
WissensWerkstatt in Nuremberg and Social Academy in Munich
At both the WissensWerkstatt and the Social Academy, it’s all about knowledge transfer. The idea: company representatives share their competencies and convey their professional know-how with employees of non-profit organisations in the context of online workshops, online seminars and individual coaching. Our colleagues regularly serve as speakers on behalf of the initiative.
Sustainable office – environmental management at the company
Since 2017, BNP Paribas has been CO2-neutral group-wide. In everyday office life, too, much has been achieved through the adaptation of corporate processes. This is also the case with personal investors: a paper-saving printing concept, the recycling of IT hardware and the use of energy-saving lamps help us to achieve and maintain our environmental targets.
CO2 emissions of course continue to be measured and analysed annually as a basis for formulating corresponding recommendations for action.
In addition, our employees regularly take part in the nationwide initiative ‘Bike to Work’. In 2020 alone, more than 200 colleagues covered 105,000 kilometres on two wheels and in this way saved 20.66 tonnes of CO2.
We are also committed to charitable causes. One cause that is especially close to our hearts is the support of disadvantaged children and adolescents. The initiative PatenCents allows employees to donate the cent figure to the right of the decimal point in their monthly salary. The company matches this donation and forwards the doubled amount to a social organisation.
