Tasks & Responsibilities: What awaits you

Be part of the Data Protection Team and support the Territory Data Protection Officer (T-DPO) regarding the responsibilities for Arval, Leasing Solution and Factor in Germany, e.g. in fulfilling roles and responsibilities as defined in our Data Protection Procedures:

  • Supporting and advising the 1st line of defense of your entities on implementation of Group Policies and guidelines on Personal Data Protection and monitor consistency in their implementation
  • Advising the business stakeholders and engage with LEGAL on projects (privacy-by-design and –by-default, privacy impact assessments) and the strengthening of all kinds of DP related processing activities
  • Performing the 2nd line of defense controls in alinement with the T-DPO and BL-DPO and addressing of the remediation actions to tackle gaps and weaknesses
  • Assessment of data breaches and incidents
  • Overseeing the compliance to Data Subject Rights obligations (identification, responses to Data Subjects, follow-up)
  • Conducting regular awareness sessions to embed the DP principles and requirements
  • Supporting the T-DPO by preparing the communication with external stakeholders, German Supervisory Authorities & Data Subjects
  • Representation of all DP matters in the relevant Committees

Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer

  • 3 + years’ experience with significant knowledge and experience in (German) Data Protection Law/and ideally within the banking sector
  • Knowledge of internal organization and processes
  • Understanding of data processing operations, including business applications and data use
  • Expertise in transversal management and working (matrix structure)
  • Experience of managing compliance programs on regulatory requirements
  • Strong knowledge and interest in Information Technology, digital and new technologies and understanding of information security controls and principles
  • Expertise in interacting with regulators (will be a plus)
  • Confident communication skills towards internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in German & English
