PRIDE

For a colorful world

BNP Paribas PRIDE

In July 2017, PRIDE Germany was launched – an internal network within the BNP Paribas Group in Germany, which brings together employees regardless of their sexual orientation or identity. It’s a place where the LGBTQIA+ community feels accepted and belonging.

PRIDE Germany stands for solidarity and cohesion. We want a working environment that is characterized by tolerance and openness. Here we can develop freely and be ourselves without having to worry about prejudice or discrimination.

As part of PRIDE Germany, we find support, understanding and friendship. It’s a a place where we can feel safe and be proud of our identity. Together we are committed to equality and respect by breaking down barriers and creating a world where diversity is celebrated.

We walk hand in hand, step by step, on the way to a society in which every human is valued and accepted. PRIDE Germany is a symbol of our movement, which ensures that all employees in our group love and respect each other– every day, at any time!

“At BNP Paribas, the involvement of the PRIDE community is a key element of our D&I strategy. For example, queer employees are working with Allies to make sexual and gender diversity visible.”

EVA MEYER, CHIEF SUSTAINABILITY OFFICER GERMANY

What we stand for as BNP Paribas

We are united by working in an appreciative environment where everyone is respected and there is simply no place for discrimination. Value-based teamwork plays a major role in this.

We know that diversity makes us better because diversity enriches perspectives. That is why we are consciously committed to more heterogeneity in the teams, even if we still have some way to go despite consistent efforts – and undoubtedly also achievements. As individuals, as companies and as a society.

We are consciously involved in networks in order to constantly improve as a learning organization and, above all, to tap into target groups that have so far been underrepresented in our ranks. We understand diversity management holistically, i.e. all dimensions and their interaction (intersectionality):

With our corporate network PRIDE, we stand up for equal rights for the LGBTQIA+ community and participate in CSDs and Sticks & Stones.

What are the objectives of BNP Paribas PRIDE?

  • Contribute to better visibility and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ employees by developing a climate of trust
  • Counter discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or identity
  • To support the BNP Paribas Group, in particular HR, in its activities related to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • To advocate for an even better approach to our customers and interested parties from the LGBTQIA+ community

“Diversity is not only a fact, but also a mission: I am committed to ensuring that all employees can live their sexual orientation and gender identity openly without having to hide or fear discrimination.”

DR. SVEN DEGLOW, CO-CEO PERSONAL INVESTORS GERMANY & AUSTRIA
