Cortal Consors, the direct bank specialised in online brokerage and personal savings, achieved top results with Finanzmonitor 2009 the representative survey carried out yearly among the so-called financial decision-makers of German households. In the category Innovative Force, Cortal Consors was ranked number one amongst 15 competitors. 95% of the Cortal Consors customers who were interviewed said that the bank is innovative, 80% basically trust in banks, which is also the top position in this category.
Transparency, trust and independence in advice services: Against the background of the financial crisis, these criteria topped the list of priorities in the research survey conducted by the market research agency puls throughout Germany in August und September 2009, which covered 1,000 German households. “It is all the more pleasing to note that people judged us to have particularly high competence precisely in these areas. The fundamental trust of our customers in banks is higher compared to customers of other banks and no one of our customers answered that they don’t trust us – which is again a consequence of our transparency offensive and our uncompromising independence in investment recommendations”, declares Kai Friedrich, Deputy CEO of Cortal Consors Deutschland. This appraisal is also supported by another aspect of the Finanzmonitor 2009 survey, according to which 37 percent of customers consider Cortal Consors to be significantly less affected by the banking crisis than other banks – in fact, not one of those surveyed considered Cortal Consors to be more seriously affected than other banks.
As the best online bank in the category Sympathy, Cortal Consors achieved the second highest place as well as in the Image category in Finanzmonitor 2009. “This result was also helped by the good availability of our customer consultants, and in this area we are well ahead of our competitors in the current survey”, emphasised Kai Friedrich.
Recipe for success: Friendly, reliable and innovative
Particularly after the difficult experience of the crisis in the financial markets, customers consider a transparent, independent advice to be absolutely indispensable. Finanzmonitor 2009 shows, according to Cortal Consors Deputy CEO Friedrich that confidence-building measures and open and transparent communication are always highly appreciated by customers.
